GCSE & GCE EXAM CERTIFICATE COLLECTION

Students should collect and sign for their certificates in person. Alternatively if a student is unable to come in to school for any reason, they can write a note that must be signed by them, nominating a named third party to collect and sign for them on their behalf.

We are unable to release certificates to any third party without written permission to do so by the student.

We do not post out certificates due to the risk of loss in the postal system.  Each candidate can receive at least three or more certificates and they cost approximately £40.00 each to replace which is why we do not post them out.

Should a candidate insist we post them, the school cannot not take responsibility for them once they have left our possession.

 A Level Press Release

Congratulations  to Stowmarket High’s Year 13 students this summer for achieving another set of outstanding results. This cohort’s overall performance on their advanced level courses continued to push even higher with 84% of students attaining A* to C grades. The overall pass rate was 97%. Diploma courses were particularly noteworthy for the number of A* distinctions that students achieved.  All students have secured places at their next place of study.  Also very encouraging was the number of students being offered Higher Level Apprenticeships which also includes a higher education element.

Headteacher Dave Lee-Allan said,

‘At a time when the concern within the teaching profession was about the volatility of results, we have thankfully seen a traditionally strong performance at A2. The students have worked so hard and deserve every success. I would like to thank all the staff and governors for their hard work, but also the support of parents. Wherever these students choose to go, whether it be university, apprenticeships or the workplace, I am proud that they have the results that they need to build a happy and secure future.’

Notable performances were seen from Maisie Frost, who secured her place at Cambridge with her 2A*’s and two A’s, Matthew Chapelle with one A* and 3A’s and both Sally Halls and Robert Norman securing 3 A’s. Sarah Bensley achieved a faultless 3 A*’s for her Health and Social Care, and unsurprisingly moves on to study nursing at UEA.

Congratulations to Adam Fuller, Harry Wilding, Joseph Balaam, Lucas Cantwell, Elizabeth Ludbrook, Ellie Dickinson and Mark Lennon on achieving full apprenticeships with reputable companies.
